Jace’s Easter Gift for You

March 16, 2015

John 3:16 means so much, for each one of us. This is the truth that Jace, an Elim student, wants to share with you. And that's why he chose this verse as a special gift this Easter.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave us His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have eternal life"

Many of you may remember Jace from last Easter.  An enthusiastic and articulate young man, Jace loves playing with Play-Doh, seeing movies, playing computer games, and cheering for his beloved Blackhawks. Life isn’t always easy for Jace, but Jace knows God is with him.  Recently, Jace told his teacher, “When I’m sad or upset, I pray and I read the Bible.”  That faith is an inspiration to everyone he encounters.  He loves telling everyone about his faith in God and knows his Bible stories very well, often asking questions to learn more.

Jace has grown so much since last Easter.  He’s moved into Elim’s middle school and is fascinated with social studies.  Jace is great at math and is currently working on mastering double-digit multiplication.  His teacher is so proud of Jace and wants to see his growth continue.

“Jace is working hard to become more independent.  Just this year he started coming off of the bus by himself,” she said. “We want his independence to keep growing.  We’re encouraging him to try new foods and be aware of the feelings of others around him.  We’re challenging him to grow not just academically but socially and in life-skills, too.”
With your help, Jace and his friends can continue learning and growing at Elim.  Your gifts equip children and adults with disabilities with the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and important academic and vocational training.  The kids and adults at Elim are ready to change the world, but they need your help!
Are you able to make an impact on the lives of students and adults at Elim today? Elim needs your help to continue equipping over 1,000 people who live with disabilities to respond to God's call on their lives. Please click here to make a donation today!
