Elim Responds to Autism Epidemic

September 2, 2013

April is Autism Awareness Month in the United States! Since 2004, Elim has been on the forefront of providing the most up-to-date services in our autism programs. It’s staggering to note that one in every 88 American children – and one in 54 boys – has autism, the CDC now estimates. Autism rates have risen 23% since 2006 and 78% since 2002.

In the midst of such overwhelming statistics, Elim exists to bring hope to families with autism. Our autism program in the school has grown each year in order to meet the growing demand for autism services.  In 2008, we launched our adult autism program (ACTS). Our staff works tirelessly to set the framework and structure that these programs need in order to serve families and individuals with autism – both now and in the future.

Your gifts to Elim Christian Services provide the resources needed to respond to the autism epidemic with programs, equipment, and staff who are committed to bringing God’s truth and hope to families with autism. But in order for Elim’s autism programs to grow to meet the rising needs, additional support is needed.
