Be the good in this world by helping others while you help yourself. As a Paraprofessional at Elim, you’ll assist students with developmental disabilities achieve more, learn more, and grow. You’ll help them reach educational goals and you’ll implement individual educational plans under the guidance of the classroom teacher. You’ll work with students to create a positive, safe, and productive learning environment. You’ll also assist our students with their personal care needs, like helping them with their clothes, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and mobility.
We’re looking for people who care about people. As a Paraprofessional, you’ll be required to:
- Provide educational support for students and teachers
- Address personal care needs
- Provide supervision and behavioral interventions
It’s fulfilling work that makes an immediate difference in lives. To help our students, you will be provided training and instruction on behavior management, communication techniques and assistive technology.

These include: pre-school to high school special education; therapeutic and educational programs for students with autism spectrum disorder; vocational training and life skill opportunities for young adults 18-22; day programs for adults with disabilities; and learning programs as an organizational and community catalyst for change.
