Hands & Hearts United in Service

Without our community partners, HOPE Packs would not be the impactful program it is today, serving people around the world and supporting neighbors in need right here at home.

One of those valued partners is Christ Church of Oak Brook. A longtime supporter of Elim, the church recently hosted a packing event in support of the upcoming launch of our hygiene kits.

Allie Noble, Domestic Relationship Director at Christ Church of Oak Brook, partnered with Elim to organize the event for a community of moms looking to give back.

“The HOPE Packs idea is something that is super easy to get on board with. You’re using your hands to be a blessing to someone else,” Allie shared. “The fact that we could pack kits that would be given to another community partner of ours was the perfect icing on the cake.”

In May, a group of adult participants from Elim’s Orland Campus joined Christ Church of Oak Brook’s team of moms to pack more than 200 hygiene kits for Pacific Garden Mission. Gathered around tables filled with shampoo, conditioner, soap, combs, and other hygiene essentials, the two groups worked side by side to assemble and pray over each kit before sending them off to serve those in need.

“I highly recommend getting involved with HOPE Packs. It’s an easy and meaningful service project for people of all ages and abilities,” Allie said. “When you donate to HOPE Packs, you are giving not only to the end recipient of the kit, but also to the many hands that help make it possible along the way.”
