Elim Parent Thanks YOU!

August 15, 2012

Your support of Elim does more than equip individuals with disabilities to achieve their highest God-given potential.  It gives hope and support to families as well!

Thomas and Jennifer Rzepecki are parents of Elim middle school student, Ray.  They wrote the following letter to express what Elim means to their family and to thank you for your support of Elim Christian School.

Dear Donor,

It has been a short seven months ago that our family was challenged with selecting an educational placement for our son, Ray, to meet his special needs.  Elim Christian Services was suggested as a “good” school and not knowing exactly what that meant, we weighed all of our options.  While other schools seemed sufficient, the experience we have had at Elim since the day we toured the campus has surpassed all our hopes of what we could have envisioned for Ray.

Much thought went into that decision, as our drive to Elim is considerable and we would transport Ray.  We would have to start our day very early and rearrange work schedules and routines to make it possible for Ray to attend Elim.  There is never a day we regret these making these changes so that Ray can receive top-quality instruction and be served by dedicated professionals who honor him as an individual, created in God’s image.

What stands out the most to us is the peace we sense the moment we drive on to the campus.  We see God’s healing love in the level of care and depth of connection the staff has with the students and clients at Elim.  Every teachable moment is valued as they serve together.

Because of your donation, not only are students’ needs appropriately met, we as a family are forever changed. We have more time to spend together and have become volunteers at Elim. Our other son has earned his first Boy Scouts of America merit badge – Disability Awareness!  We have been able to rejoice with parents as they share their student’s achievements.  One student met his goal of walking twenty steps!  Another parent was overwhelmed with excitement as she described her son’s thrill of wearing his basketball team uniform and becoming a state basketball Special Olympic champion!  It is our honor to pray for all that goes on at Elim and especially for the supporters, like you, who help make miracles happen!

We appreciate your very kind gift. This opportunity to say THANK YOU is precious to us.  We are grateful for your contribution that creates opportunities and makes Elim a special place for our child.  With your help, he is all that God has created him to be!

Sincerely,

Thomas and Jennifer Rzepecki
