Elim Helps Churches Achieve Outreach Goals

November 3, 2015

For seven years, dozens of churches have run HOPE Pack supply drives at the end of each summer. These drives have provided over 20,000 HOPE Packs that get assembled by Elim adults and sent to different parts of our globe.

But what about students here in the United States, or more specifically, here in the Chicago and northwest Indiana region? That was the question two churches posed to Elim this year. Just two months ago, Elim ran special HOPE Pack supply drives at Crosswinds Church in Chicago, and at several campuses of Faith Church in the suburbs of Chicago and northwest Indiana. These churches were looking for ways to minister to the needs of their community, and Elim was part of their solution.

In late August, Elim delivered kits to several churches, including Crosswinds, and (together with another ministry, Chicagoland Prison Outreach) now hundreds of children have all the school supplies they’ll need to start their new year off right.

Elim works with over 100 churches to meet the needs of people who live with disabilities. But we also work with these same churches to include people with disabilities in their ministry to their communities. If you are wondering how Elim can be part of a ministry solution for your church, please contact Glenn Spoolstra, our Church Relationship Manager (708-293-6510 or glenn.spoolstra@elimcs.org), to get started today.
