Elim Campus Goes Smoke-Free

August 15, 2013

Effective August 26, 2013, Elim Christian Services will become a smoke-free campus. The rationale for this change is as follows.
This new policy:
  • Is a best practice which provides a healthy workplace and educational environment for our enrollees, employees and guests.
  • Aligns with the Illinois State Board of Education requirement for all educational facilities to be smoke-free.
  • Eliminates the danger of second-hand smoke on campus.
  • Minimizes the risk of fires being started from burning cigarettes.
Our goal is to create a healthy, distraction-free oasis for all who come to Elim, and our hope is that this polcy will serve as another step toward that goal.

Non-discrimination Policy:
It is the Standard of Elim Christian Services to admit children and adults to agency services regardless of race, color, national and ethnic origin, to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to agency service recipients. Elim Christian Services does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered policies.
