Elim Adult Services Praised for Excellence

September 2, 2013

CARF International (the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitative Facilities, an international accrediting body) heaped praises upon Elim’s staff, Board of Trustees, and leadership while renewing its three-year accreditation in December. “Elim Christian Services operates with open eyes and hearts in a challenging funding environment. In spite of these potential setbacks, it has remained focused on the quality of services, the idea of serving persons from birth to death, and the commitment to a stronger financial picture as time goes on. The organization has proven itself able to keep its priority focus on its mission and the persons served.”

Elim’s HOPE Packs program was also praised during this accreditation renewal, and CARF additionally commended Elim on its high and distinctive standards – specifically its Ministry Outreach program, assistive technology services, and commitment to community integration for those Elim serves.

Elim President Bill Lodewyk is proud of the excellent services Elim offers. “I know that the dedicated team members in Adult Services have done their utmost to honor the lives and dignity of each person we serve, even as funding gets cut and programs seem to be under constant threat. Yet, today, CARF has honored their efforts with high praise once again.”
