At Elim, HOPE Packs is one of our most impactful Adult Services program. What began in 2006 was a response to two key needs: providing purposeful work for adults with disabilities and generating support for additional programming. It has become a cornerstone of our organization, and is not only transforming lives within Elim, but also impacting our surrounding communities.

HOPE Pack empowers adults in our program by providing consistent, hands-on opportunities to build vocational skills while contributing to something bigger than themselves.
Each HOPE Pack fits into one of these three categories:
During the Summer months, School Kits are the main driving force and focus for Elim’s adults. From June through August, kits diligently assembled throughout the year will be ready to distribute to schools in the surrounding area.
Preparing school kits is simple but powerful for Elim’s adults, as they are all in charge of one specific task for the day. One person begins preparing the empty boxes and lining them up to be filled. From there, each adult adds their specific items – folders, notebooks, pencil sharpeners, erasers – until the box is full. Finally, the final person in line tapes the box closed, and sorts it to where it will be distributed.
The HOPE Packs assembly line is a wonderful display of teamwork and camaraderie. The program not only builds vocational skills but fosters a deep sense of accomplishment and connection to communities in need.

The impact of HOPE Packs is made possible by generous supporters like you. Whether a student starts their first day of school with a full backpack, a family receives enough food to feed their children, or a soldier opens a box from home, it is because of your support that moments like these occur.
Together, we can continue the work that God has called us to do. Please help us spread more HOPE to those in need.
