Elim Invitational Hosts Cross Country Athletes from Five Schools

October 28, 2013

The gray skies couldn't keep Elim's finest cross country athletes away from running in the annual Elim Invitational October 16, 2013.

Elim came out strong with 24 runners and all finished with an outstanding performance.  The day began with a sing a long in the gym with Mr. Vinnie and the 7th grade class from Timothy Christian.  From there we cruised over to the Conkey Woods on 135th and Central and met up with Homewood Flossmoor H.S., Eisenhower H.S., Stagg H.S., and Andrew H.S.

In all there were 62 runners that competed and were cheered on by parents, teachers, administrators, friends, relatives, classmates, and the Timothy Christian students and staff.  Each athlete that competed was awarded a beautiful medal and an awesome water bottle with "Elim Invitational October 16, 2013" on it donated by our own Alex David's parents,  Mr. and Mrs. Bill David.  The top 10 runners received an added bonus of a cool trophy for their hard work as well.

A great day was had by all and our runners had so much to be proud of! Thank you to everyone involved for all your support.
