Hope in Action: Serving our Neighbors Together

One of the most important aspects of our HOPE Packs program is the people who receive our kits. Whether it’s students needing school supplies to start the year strong or individuals needing essential hygiene items, these resources provide practical support that helps people move forward with confidence and dignity.
With the introduction of our Hygiene Kits into our HOPE Packs program, we wanted to partner with organizations whose missions reflect Christ’s call to serve others with compassion and love.
One of those organizations is Pacific Garden Mission, which is partnering with us during this upcoming HOPE Packs season.
“People experiencing homelessness face a wide range of personal, social, economic, and health-related challenges that often reinforce one another,” shares James Warren, spokesperson for PGM. “The most immediate challenge is the absence of safe, consistent, and affordable housing.”
By having Elim’s adults pack Hygiene Kits for individuals experiencing homelessness throughout the Chicagoland area, we are creating another opportunity for God’s love to be made visible, bringing communities together to care for neighbors in need.
“Hygiene Kits are highly beneficial for individuals receiving services at PGM because they address immediate personal needs while also
supporting health, dignity, confidence, and long-term stability,” says James. “For individuals experiencing homelessness, access to basic hygiene products is often limited or inconsistent. Providing hygiene kits can make a meaningful difference in daily life and overall well-being.”
