Approved by the Illinois State Board of Education, Elim Christian School offers programs to students ages 3 to 21 who have developmental and/or physical disabilities. Students are placed in classrooms based on age and ability. The school includes elementary, middle school, and high school classes. A typical classroom has eight students, one teacher, one classroom assistant, and individual aides based on the needs of each student. The Autism Comprehensive Education (ACE) Program is offered for children on the autism spectrum with increased sensory, motor, and communication needs. ACE classrooms typically have six students, one teacher, and four classroom assistants; the program includes increased related services.
