Elim Christian Services Elim exists to equip individuals with special needs to achieve their highest God-given potential.
At Elim, we learn what unconditional love is; we learn what’s really important in life; we learn what real challenges are; we learn what true acceptance looks like. We know that each day, experiences can overwhelm the senses, so we’ve learned how to give sensory breaks. We know that sometimes you just need to go outside and be free, so we have four playgrounds, a garden, and a greenhouse to explore. We know how frustrating it can be when you don’t have the ability to communicate, so we provide Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) as an intervention technique to increase communication skills. Elim Christian Services approaches its mission with a ‘lifespan philosophy’ that welcomes in children as young as age three on through their active lives. Elim’s programs begin with early childhood; transition into elementary and secondary education; and culminate with employment and retirement services. In 2005, Elim Christian Services and Trinity Christian College joined forces to establish the Alexander De Jong Center for Special Education at Trinity Christian College. The mission of the Center for Special Education is to prepare current and future teachers with the highest quality instruction and training to develop fully the God-given potential of individuals with special needs. With God’s help, the Alexander De Jong Center for Special Education will be a light and a witness of the transforming power of Jesus Christ. Elim serves persons with disabilities primarily through four program areas: For more information or to apply, please contact one of the following people: AdmissionsCarol Runge Donna Terry Linda Kleyn |
