What’s in a Hope Pack?

imageElim HOPE Packs have been hand-picked as items our adults have the capacity to assemble efficiently and effectively. Our very first such assembly, in 2007, involved 23,000 school packs. When our adults finished the job, the organization that hired us quality-checked each of the 23,000 packs, and found just two mistakes in the whole bunch. Two packs had an extra eraser inside. With that dedication to quality, and the desire of Elim’s adults to help people in need, we know that they can pack each of these items well.

School Packs
Elim HOPE Packs assembles two kinds of school packs, domestic and international (moreover, we are able to customize the packs further if needed).
International school packs consist of:

  • 1 solid-cover 70-sheet wide-ruled notebook
  • 2 no. 2 pencils (unsharpened)
  • 2 black- or blue-ink ballpoint pens (non-click, with caps)
  • 1 pink 2” eraser
  • 1 24-count box of crayons (prefer Crayola or RoseArt)
  • 1 12-count box of colored pencils (prefer Crayola or RoseArt)

Elim also adds a specific 12” ruler and a pencil sharpener. Elim provides these to ensure accurate sizes and weights due to the variety of sharpeners and rulers on the market.

Domestic school packs consist of:

  • 1 solid-cover 70-sheet wide-ruled notebook
  • 4 no. 2 pencils (unsharpened)
  • 2 9” x 12” solid-cover 2-pocket folders
  • 1 pink 2” eraser
  • 1 large gluestick
  • 1 pack of 8 washable markers (prefer Crayola or RoseArt)
  • 1 24-count box of crayons (prefer Crayola or RoseArt)
  • 1 pair of blunt children’s scissors

Elim also adds a specific 12” ruler and a pencil sharpener. Elim provides these to ensure accurate sizes and weights due to the variety of sharpeners and rulers on the market.

Food Packs consist of:
Rice, soy, vitamins, protein, and other nutrients designed to provide 6 complete, nutritionally balanced meals. One food pack is enough food for one person for 6 days.

Hygiene Packs consist of:

  • 1 12 oz. bottle of shampoo
  • 1 bar of soap
  • 1 washcloth
  • 1 8 oz. tube of toothpaste
  • 1 6” toothbrush
  • 1 8 oz. bottle of shampoo
