HOST A SUPPLY DRIVE

An Elim HOPE Packs Supply Drive is a wonderful way for a church to come alongside people with disabilities and join them in Kingdom Ministry. Here is a simple explanation of how a supply drive works:
  1. Churches collect school supplies in Elim-provided HOPE Pack bags, and each person gives $6 per pack to take care of shipping and assembly from Elim.
  2. Elim picks up supplies collected after three weeks.
  3. Elim adults will inspect, fully stock, re-pack, and efficiently prepare items for shipment, rounding out orders to fully meet the needs of ministry partners. Church volunteers are invited to participate and work alongside Elim’s adults.
  4. Supplies are sent to Food for the Hungry, Global Aid Network, Haitian Support Ministries, and other Elim ministry partners. Churches can specifically request a current ministry partner or connect Elim with their own.
Elim works with ministry partners to make sure that, as often as possible, Elim adults and supporting church volunteers are part of the distribution trips, whether they’re in Chicago, Peru, Haiti, or Africa.
 
PROMOTIONAL SUPPORT
 
If your church chooses to participate in this exciting program, Elim HOPE Packs will provide you with the necessary tools to support your promotional needs. A basic promotional package will contain:
  • 5 – Supply Drive posters w/ place to write in the dates of the supply drive.
  • 1 – DVD with promotional and instructional videos
  • 1 – Sport Packs – examples of HOPE Packs that need to be filled with supplies.
  • 1 – Bulletin Announcement.
 
TOGETHER WE SERVE
 
Sign up to volunteer for a “Together We Serve” event to work alongside Elim adults doing outreach activities by assembling school packs and food packs in Elim’s Adult Services program. The packs you assemble with your new friends will be distributed to children in need, here in the Chicago area and even out to other parts of the world.
 
During a Together We Serve event, you will experience firsthand how God calls each and every one of us to serve, regardless of our abilities or disabilities.
 
Together We Serve events will be held every third Saturday from 9 – 11:00 AM. The event will be located at Elim’s Palos Heights Adult Services building – 13063 S. Monitor Ave., Palos Heights, IL 60463. Check out the most recent listing of Together We Serve assembly events.
